StormCenter Communications has pioneered a distribution and communications methodology to get compelling environmental and earth science information to the general public via the local television station. StormCenter brings the environment alive by combining our Envirocast® technology with StormCenter interactive environmental web sites (Envirocast® Web/TV).Envirocast® Web/TV is being introduced to television stations across the country by StormCenter Communications. The website is alive, vibrant and the locally relevant information is frequently updated as new original content is created. Besides the detailed content about watersheds, forests and our coast, Envirocast® Web/TV contains information such as real-time water quality information, real-time stream flow, ground water information and coastal observations, semi-monthly environmental news stories related to a specific watershed, coast and water issues around the country. 3-D flights over real satellite imagery, a calendar of events and a weekly Envirocast® feature that connects local viewers with local issues to get involved in watershed and coastal related events. The success of the Envirocast® Web/TV is based on local media partnerships that deliver effective products and messages through the use of Envirocast® Web/TV and the weekly Environmental News Stories on-air and on-line. Currently deployed in eight markets it can reach over 10 million television households.
