NASA Selects StormCenter for Award: May 2009 – NASA’s Science Mission Directorate (SMD) Applied Sciences Program selected StormCenter’s proposal entitled: “Extending AWIPS II Visualization and Collaboration Capabilities for Enhanced Decision Making Using NASA Data within NOAA NWS and FEMA.” The proposal calls for a four year effort to transform how NWS and FEMA collaborate and brief decisionmakers in preparation for disasters. StormCenter is thrilled to lead this effort through innovative partnerships with NASA, NWS, FEMA and Northrop Grumman Corporation will last until 2013.
